With Zbynek Michalek still in the penalty box for a minor penalty that carried over from the end of the previous period, the Lightning worked the puck around the perimeter in the offensive zone until Prospal settled with control along the lower right half-wall. He centered the puck but it caromed off the skate of Fedotenko and sat in the slot, where Richards skated in and sent a blazing slap shot past Tellqvist.
«We found a way to get it done on the power play to start the third period," Richards said.

Sources say Toronto GM John Ferguson has only mild interest in Roberts and wasn't completely pleased with Roberts' departure from the Leafs in the summer of 2005. The Wings are also expected to make a pitch for Roberts ... Blackhawks GM Dale Tallon would like to pull off a coup at this year's trade deadline by moving G Nikolai Khabibulin and D Adrian Aucoin. There's mild interest from Montreal in Aucoin, but not enough to make a deal because of his $4 million salary. As for Khabibulin, he has two years left at $6.75 million per year and the market is limited. Sure, the Lightning would like to bring Khabibulin back, but not at that price ... There's some talk Phoenix C Jeremy Roenick could end up with Dallas. The Coyotes would also like to move G Curtis Joseph ... Senators GM John Muckler has told other teams he's looking for a «depth defenceman.» That seems odd, but it does have strings attached because the club wants to move D Joe Corvo in return. If Ottawa really wants to have a depth blueliner around for the playoffs, why doesn't the club bring in St. Louis D Jamie Rivers, who is playing in Peoria of the AHL right now? He's an Ottawa native and capable of helping ... Forsberg gave the Flyers a list of four teams he wanted to be dealt to: Nashville, Anaheim, San Jose and Detroit ... The Wings are going to make a hard push for either St. Louis RW Bill Guerin or LW Keith Tkachuk. The asking price is high: A prospect and a first-round draft pick. Tkachuk told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch last week he'd be willing to waive his no-trade clause ... The Oilers are willing to move RW Petr Sykora ... The Jackets are close to signing LW Frederik Modin to a contract extension, which would take him off the trade market ... The Tampa Tribune: NO HEAD HUNTER: Following Saturday's game in Sunrise, Lightning coach John Tortorella questioned the legality of a knee-on-knee type hit by Florida D Bryan Allen on RW Ruslan Fedotenko that left the Tampa Bay winger with a charley horse.
Fedotenko, who played Tuesday, said he wasn't sure if it was a dirty hit or not.
«I thought I was by him. I thought I had beat him, so I didn't really expect it," Fedotenko said Tuesday morning. «I didn't really see the replay, I'll be honest with you, but everybody who has talked to me said it was really high, and how I felt, I felt that he was missing me completely and he sticks [out] a knee.»
But Fedotenko said he wouldn't go looking for retribution for the play, though he won't pass up the opportunity if it presents itself in the final three meetings between the teams.
«I'm not a guy who is waiting to get you on my list," he said. «If I have a chance to run him over, would I take the chance? Yeah. Would I go unnecessarily and take a penalty that would cost a penalty? No, you can't do that — that's putting yourself before the team and you can't do that. But if I have the chance to hit him, I will hit him. But I'm not going to go out of my way.»
