The Tampa Tribune: Lightning coach John Tortorella promised some line changes for today's Game 6 against the New Jersey Devils, but he didn't tip his hand regarding how he plans to use veteran right wing Ruslan Fedotenko.Or even if he plans to use Fedotenko at all.
«I think we've given Ruslan plenty of opportunity here to try to redeem himself after a struggle through the year," said Tortorella, who added that he had decided whether Fedotenko would be in the lineup but would not reveal his decision until today.
Fedotenko, one of the Lightning's scoring heroes during their run to the Stanley Cup championship in 2004, was dressed and on the bench for Game 5 Friday but did not play.
He said Saturday he didn't have anything to say, smiling as he said, «No comment.»
Fedotenko was shuttled among the top three lines in the first four games of the series, but recorded only one shot. He still holds the team record for goals in a playoff series, six, set during the 2004 Eastern Conference finals against the Flyers.
Tortorella said that even though he and Fedotenko have had a «number of conversations» this season, the time for talking has passed.
«This is the playoffs," Tortorella said. «It's Game 6. We're down by a game. I'm not too interested in conversation any more. I'm interested in results.»
